SP-6 - Three Yin Intersection
三阴交 - Sān yīn jiāo
Point Region: Shin
SP-6 Sanyinjiao, known as 'Three Yin Intersection,' represents one of the most important points for women's health and overall Yin nourishment in the entire acupressure system. Located on the inner shin where the Spleen, Liver, and Kidney meridians converge like three rivers flowing into one powerful stream, this point embodies the harmonious cooperation needed for optimal feminine vitality.
As the meeting place of three crucial Yin organs, Sanyinjiao governs the deep, nourishing, receptive aspects of our nature—our capacity for rest, regeneration, fertility, and emotional depth. This point is particularly valuable for addressing hormonal imbalances, menstrual irregularities, and the kind of deep fatigue that comes from giving more than we receive.
In the modern world where Yang energy (action, achievement, external focus) often dominates, SP-6 offers a pathway back to the nourishing Yin qualities that sustain us through life's challenges. Whether addressing specific women's health concerns or simply seeking to cultivate more balance between doing and being, this remarkable point provides access to the deep wells of feminine wisdom and vitality.
