Anatomical Location: On the medial aspect of the lower leg, in a palpable depression.

How to Locate:

  1. Find the highest point of your inner ankle bone
  2. Measure 3 finger-widths up from this point
  3. Move slightly toward the back of your leg from the shin bone
  4. The point is in the depression behind your shin bone

SP-6 Protocols

Menstrual Support & Emotional Calm (5 minutes)

  1. Sit with leg relaxed and knee slightly bent
  2. Locate SP-6 (3 cun above the medial malleolus, posterior to the tibia)
  3. Apply firm pressure for 30 seconds on each leg
  4. Massage in circular motions for 1 minute to nourish Yin and regulate menstruation
  5. Repeat pressure while breathing deeply and relaxing the lower abdomen
