Understanding Hair Loss
Also known as alopecia, hair loss can be temporary or permanent and may affect the scalp or entire body. Causes include genetics, hormonal changes, stress, illness, or medications.
Hair loss can occur gradually or suddenly and may result from genetics, illness, or stress. It often impacts self-esteem and confidence. While medical evaluation is important, acupressure may help by improving scalp circulation, reducing stress, and supporting general hair and skin health.

Treatment Protocol
- Sit in a comfortable position with shoulders relaxed and spine straight
- Begin with 5 minutes of slow, deep breathing to reduce stress-related hair loss
- Gently press GV-20 (top of head, at the crown) for 1-2 minutes to stimulate scalp circulation
- Massage KI-3 (inner ankle, between ankle bone and Achilles tendon) for 1 minute each foot to support kidney energy
- Apply pressure to SP-6 (inner ankle, 3 finger-widths up from ankle bone) for 1 minute each leg to support circulation
- For stress-related hair loss: add LR-3 (top of foot, between big toe and second toe) for 1 minute each foot
- For additional support: include BL-17 (upper back, level with bottom of shoulder blades) and BL-23 (lower back, level with bottom ribs)
- Finish with 5 minutes of gentle scalp massage using fingertips in small circular motions, working from hairline to crown
