BL-17 - Diaphragm Shu
膈俞 - Gé shū
Point Region: Back
BL-17 Geshu, meaning 'Diaphragm Shu,' is the influential point of Blood, a master point for all blood-related issues. The diaphragm is the great divider between the chest and abdomen, and this point governs the flow of blood and energy throughout the body, helping to invigorate circulation and ease stagnation.
As the 'Meeting Point of Blood,' Geshu is the ultimate point for anything related to blood. It's invaluable for conditions like anemia, blood deficiency, and blood stagnation, which can manifest as pain, menstrual irregularities, or a dull complexion. It also helps to calm the mind by ensuring that the heart and brain are well-nourished with fresh blood.
By invigorating the blood and regulating the diaphragm, BL-17 promotes a sense of vitality and ease. It's a point that helps to release the emotional and physical tensions that can block our life force, restoring a smooth and harmonious flow throughout the entire body.
