Shingles Pain Management Support (Daily during outbreak, with medical care)

Treatment Protocol

  1. IMPORTANT: Continue antiviral medications as prescribed - this supports pain management only
  2. Avoid direct pressure on active shingles rash - work on points away from affected areas
  3. Begin with cool (not cold) compresses on unaffected areas for comfort
  4. Apply gentle pressure to LI-11 (outer elbow, end of elbow crease) for 1 minute each arm to clear heat
  5. Carefully massage BL-40 (back of knee crease) for 1 minute each leg to support circulation
  6. Press SP-10 (inner thigh, above kneecap) gently for 1 minute each leg to support blood flow
  7. For immune support: add ST-36 (below kneecap) with light pressure for 30 seconds each leg
  8. For blood regulation: include BL-17 (upper back) if someone can assist
  9. For neck/head shingles: very gently massage GB-20 (base of skull) away from rash area
  10. Monitor for signs of post-herpetic neuralgia and report to healthcare provider
