Peripheral Neuropathy Support (Daily, with medical supervision)

Treatment Protocol

  1. ESSENTIAL: Work with your healthcare provider to monitor neuropathy progression and adjust treatments
  2. Begin with warm (not hot) compresses on affected areas for 5-10 minutes to improve circulation
  3. Use very gentle pressure - neuropathy can cause altered sensation, so start light and adjust carefully
  4. Massage ST-36 (4 finger-widths below kneecap) gently for 1-2 minutes each leg to nourish blood and qi
  5. Apply light pressure to SP-6 (inner ankle, 3 finger-widths up) for 1 minute each leg - avoid if pregnant
  6. Press BL-60 (outer ankle, behind ankle bone) carefully for 1 minute each ankle for nerve pain relief
  7. For muscle support: add GB-34 (outer leg, below kneecap) with gentle pressure
  8. For grounding: include KI-1 (sole of foot) with light touch
  9. Monitor skin condition closely and discontinue if any irritation develops
  10. Combine with gentle, doctor-approved exercises and proper foot care

Supporting Your Recovery

Lifestyle

  • Foot Care: Inspect feet daily for injury or infection, especially with diabetes
  • Gentle Movement: Low-impact exercise may improve circulation and nerve health

Important

  • Medication Compatibility: Acupressure may complement but not replace nerve pain treatments
  • Seek Evaluation: Progressive numbness or burning may require neurological testing
