Anatomical Location: Located at the elbow crease, in a prominent depression when the arm is flexed.

How to Locate:

  1. Bend your elbow to 90 degrees
  2. Find the crease where your elbow bends
  3. Locate the depression at the outer end of this crease
  4. The point is in this prominent hollow when your arm is bent

LI-11 Protocols

Skin Irritation & Heat Clearing (4 minutes)

  1. Sit with elbow bent and palm facing up
  2. Locate LI-11 (at the lateral end of the elbow crease)
  3. Apply firm pressure with thumb for 30 seconds
  4. Massage in circular motions for 1 minute to clear heat and soothe skin
  5. Repeat pressure while breathing slowly and relaxing the shoulders
