BL-23 - Kidney Shu
肾俞 - Shèn shū
Point Region: Back
BL-23 Shenshu, the Back-Shu point of the Kidneys, is arguably one of the most powerful and essential points on the body. The Kidneys are considered the root of all life—they store our 'Jing' or essence, which is the foundational energy of our being, responsible for growth, reproduction, and longevity. This point is a direct gateway to ground our vitality and strengthen our core.
Think of Shenshu as the ultimate battery charger for your body. It is the go-to point for any sign of aging, fatigue, or depletion. It's especially useful for addressing issues like low back pain, knee weakness, hearing loss, and emotional fear that are all connected to the Kidneys.
By nourishing the Kidneys, BL-23 helps to restore a deep sense of strength, courage, and resilience. It's a point that reminds us that our vitality isn't limitless and that we must take care of our foundation to live a long and healthy life.
