Location & How to Find

Anatomical Location: On the posterior midline, in the depression below L2.

How to Locate:

  1. Stand or lie face down
  2. Locate the bottom of your ribcage
  3. Feel for the spine at the level of the lowest ribs
  4. Count down 2-3 vertebrae from this point
  5. Find the depression between vertebrae at approximately waist level
  6. This is GV-4, opposite the navel when viewed from the front
