阳关 - Yāo yáng guān
Point Region: Lower back
GV-3, or 'Yaoyangguan' (meaning 'Lumbar Yang Gate'), is a local point located on the lower back. Its name refers to its position as a 'gate' for 'Yang' energy in the 'lumbar' or lower back area.
As a local point, Yaoyangguan is primarily used for issues related to the lower back and legs, such as lower back pain, sciatica, and leg numbness. It is a go-to point for 'tonifying' the Kidney and 'strengthening' the lower body, helping to restore vitality and strength to the entire body.
