Anatomical Location: 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of L2 (second lumbar vertebra), level with BL-23.
How to Locate:
- Locate the level of the second lower back vertebra (about waist level)
- Place your finger about three finger-widths to the side of your spine
- Press to find a tender spot in the back muscle - this is BL-52
