BL-49 - Thought Dwelling
意舍 - Yì shě
Point Region: Back
BL-49 Yishe, meaning 'Abode of Thought,' is a point that strengthens the Spleen and calms overthinking and worry. In Chinese medicine, the Spleen is responsible for our ability to process thoughts and emotions. This point helps to soothe an overactive mind and ground us in our bodies.
Think of Yishe as a quiet sanctuary for your thoughts. It's invaluable for addressing issues like obsessive thinking, anxiety, and a sense of being 'stuck in your head.' By strengthening the Spleen, it helps to improve digestion and clear the dampness that can cloud the mind and lead to worry.
By calming overthinking and worry, BL-49 helps to restore a sense of peace and inner stillness. It's a point that reminds us that true wisdom comes not from thinking more, but from a quiet and centered mind.
