KI-18 - Stone Pass
石关 - Shí guān
Point Region: Upper abdomen
KI-18, or 'Shiguan' (meaning 'Stone Gate'), is a point located on the upper abdomen. Its name, 'Stone Gate,' refers to its ability to address 'hardness' and 'stagnation' in the abdomen, as well as its position as a gateway to the deeper organs.
As a local point, Shiguan is primarily used for issues related to the intestines and the digestive system, such as constipation, abdominal distention, and pain. It is a go-to point for 'breaking up' stagnation and 'clearing' blockages in the abdomen. By stimulating this point, you can help to restore a sense of flow and ease to the digestive system.
Shiguan acts as a vital access point to the deeper layers of the abdomen, providing a direct and effective way to address blockages and restore a sense of balance and harmony. It's a reminder of the power of local points to provide targeted relief and restore a sense of comfort and vitality to the lower body.
