KI-16 - Vitals Shu
肓俞 - Huāng shū
Point Region: Abdomen
KI-16, or 'Huangshu' (meaning 'Vitals Shu'), is a point located on the abdomen, just below the navel. Its name, 'Vitals Shu,' refers to its ability to connect with and regulate the body's 'huang,' or the deepest layers of the abdomen, where the vital organs reside.
As a local point, Huangshu is primarily used for issues related to the intestines and the digestive system. It's a go-to point for abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea. By stimulating this point, you can help to regulate the flow of energy and blood in the abdomen, restoring a sense of balance and ease to the digestive system.
Huangshu acts as a vital access point to the core of the digestive system, providing a direct and effective way to address blockages and restore a sense of comfort and harmony. It's a reminder of the power of local points to provide targeted relief and restore a sense of vitality to the lower body.
