GV-12 - Body Pillar
身柱 - Shēn zhù
Point Region: Back
GV-12, or 'Shenzhu' (meaning 'Body Pillar'), is a local point located on the spine. Its name refers to its position as a 'pillar' for the body, which can be used to address issues related to the entire body.
As a local point, Shenzhu is primarily used for issues related to the spine and the nervous system, such as a stiff neck, back pain, and a sense of 'stuckness' in the spine. It is a go-to point for 'tonifying' the Kidney and 'strengthening' the body as a whole. By stimulating this point, you can help to restore a sense of balance and harmony to the entire body.
Shenzhu acts as a vital access point to the core of the body, providing a direct and effective way to address blockages and restore a sense of comfort and vitality to the lower body.
