Understanding Neck/Shoulder Pain
Pain in cervical and shoulder regions due to strain, poor posture, nerve impingement, or musculoskeletal injury.
Neck and shoulder pain are often the result of muscle strain, poor ergonomics, or stress. Symptoms may include stiffness, soreness, and limited range of motion. Acupressure can support muscle relaxation, ease nerve compression, and improve circulation in these areas, offering natural relief alongside posture correction and stretching.

Neck & Shoulder Pain Relief (5-10 minutes)
Treatment Protocol
- Sit upright and gently roll shoulders back to release initial tension
- Massage BL-10 (base of skull, neck hollows) with thumbs in circular motions
- Press SI-3 (outer hand, below pinky knuckle) firmly for 1 minute each hand
- Apply pressure to LU-7 (wrist, thumb side) to release neck-breathing connection
- For tight shoulders: massage GB-21 (top of shoulder, halfway to neck) with opposite hand
- For general tension: add LI-4 (thumb-index web) for overall qi flow
Supporting Your Recovery
Lifestyle
- Posture Correction: Adjust screen height and avoid prolonged slouching
- Stretching Routine: Incorporate shoulder rolls and neck stretches daily
Important
- Heat Therapy: Apply warmth to release muscle tension before acupressure
- Rule Out Nerve Involvement: Radiating pain or numbness may require medical evaluation
