Anatomical Location: Located at the elbow crease, lateral to the tendon of biceps brachii.

How to Locate:

  1. Bend your elbow slightly
  2. Find the crease where your elbow bends
  3. Locate the thick tendon on the thumb side
  4. The point is just to the outside of this tendon

LU-5 Protocols

Cough & Throat Irritation Relief (3 minutes)

  1. Sit with elbow bent and palm facing up
  2. Locate LU-5 (at the cubital crease, radial side of the biceps tendon)
  3. Apply gentle pressure with thumb for 30 seconds
  4. Massage in circular motions for 1 minute to soothe cough and clear heat
  5. Repeat pressure while breathing slowly and relaxing the throat
