- Turn your hand palm up
- Find the thick muscle at the base of your thumb
- Locate the edge of this muscle toward your wrist
- The point is on the outer edge of this thumb muscle

Sore Throat & Heat Clearing (3 minutes)
- Sit with palm facing up
- Locate LU-10 (on the thenar eminence, between the midpoint of the first metacarpal and the thenar muscles)
- Apply firm pressure with thumb for 30 seconds
- Massage in circular motions for 1 minute to relieve throat pain and clear heat
- Repeat pressure while breathing deeply and relaxing the jaw
