BL-42 - Door of the Po
魄户 - Pò hù
Point Region: Back
BL-42 Pohu, meaning 'Door of the Corporeal Soul,' is a profound point that supports Lung Qi and anchors the 'Po,' or the corporeal soul. In Chinese medicine, the Lungs house the Po, which is our connection to our physical body, our instincts, and our ability to feel and respond to life. This point is a gateway to this deepest part of our being.
Think of Pohu as a point that helps you to feel more present and embodied in your life. It's invaluable for addressing issues like shortness of breath, a weak voice, and a sense of being disconnected from your body. It's also a powerful point for processing grief and sadness, which can often be held in the Lungs.
By supporting the Lungs and anchoring the Po, BL-42 helps to restore a sense of deep connection and vitality. It's a point that reminds us that our true power comes from a harmonious relationship between our physical and spiritual selves.
