KI-9 - Guest House
筑宾 - Zhú bīn
Point Region: Leg/Calf
KI-9, or 'Zhubin' (meaning 'Building the Guest'), is a local point located on the inner lower leg. It is the 'Xi-Cleft' point of the Yin Wei Mai (Yin Linking Vessel), one of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels. Its name, 'Building the Guest,' refers to its ability to help the body 'build' its defenses against a 'guest'—a pathogen or toxin.
As a 'Xi-Cleft' point, Zhubin is a go-to point for managing acute pain and blood stagnation along the Yin Linking vessel. It is particularly effective for addressing toxins in the body, such as in cases of drug overdose or poisoning. It can also be used to address 'wind' and 'phlegm' disorders that cause dizziness, seizures, and other neurological issues.
This point is a vital tool for anyone dealing with a sense of 'toxicity' or 'disconnection' in the body and mind. By stimulating this point, you can help to restore a sense of inner harmony and safety, much like 'building a guest' in your home—creating a space where you can feel secure and protected.
