KI-8 - Exchange Belief
交信 - Jiāo xìn
Point Region: Leg/Calf
KI-8, or 'Jiaoxin' (meaning 'Communication of Belief'), is a powerful point located on the inner lower leg. It is the 'Xi-Cleft' point of the Yin Qiao Mai (Yin Motility Vessel), one of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels. Its name, 'Communication of Belief,' refers to its ability to connect to the deeper layers of the body and mind, helping to restore a sense of inner trust and security.
As a 'Xi-Cleft' point, Jiaoxin is used to address acute pain and blood stagnation along the Yin Qiao vessel. It is particularly effective for gynecological issues and lower leg pain. Think of it as a point that can help to 'unclog' the deeper channels of the body, allowing for a smooth and unobstructed flow of energy and blood.
This point is a vital tool for anyone dealing with a sense of 'stuckness' or pain, whether it's physical or emotional. By stimulating this point, you can help to release deep-seated tension and restore a sense of flow and ease, much like a 'communication of belief' that can help to restore a sense of inner harmony and trust.
