KI-20 - Abdominal Lifting
腹通谷 - Tōng gǔ
Point Region: Upper abdomen
KI-20, or 'Tonggu' (meaning 'Abdominal Valley'), is a point located on the upper abdomen. Its name refers to its position in the 'valley' of the abdomen, where it can address issues related to the digestive system and the flow of energy in the body.
As a local point, Tonggu is primarily used for issues related to the stomach and intestines, such as indigestion, abdominal pain, and bloating. It is a go-to point for 'dispersing' stagnation and 'clearing' heat from the abdomen. By stimulating this point, you can help to restore a smooth and unobstructed flow of energy and blood in the digestive system.
Tonggu acts as a vital access point to the upper abdomen, providing a direct and effective way to address blockages and restore a sense of balance and harmony. It's a reminder of the power of local points to provide targeted relief and restore a sense of comfort and vitality to the digestive system.
