BL-46 - Diaphragm Pass
膈关 - Gé guān
Point Region: Back
BL-46 Geguan, or 'Diaphragm Pass,' is a key point for easing emotional constraint and promoting a smooth flow of energy in the chest. Located at the level of the diaphragm, it acts as a gateway between the upper and lower body, helping to release the tension that can accumulate when we hold our breath or suppress our emotions. This point helps to open the chest and restore a sense of ease.
Think of Geguan as a point that helps you to take a deep, full breath. It's especially useful for a feeling of tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, or a sense of emotional 'stuckness.' By harmonizing the diaphragm, it helps to release the emotional and physical tension that can constrict our hearts and minds.
By opening the chest and harmonizing the diaphragm, BL-46 helps to restore a sense of freedom and emotional resilience. It's a point that reminds us that our ability to live fully is rooted in our ability to breathe freely.
