BL-47 - Gate of the Hun
魂门 - Hún mén
Point Region: Back
BL-47 Hunmen, meaning 'Gate of the Ethereal Soul,' is a profound point that nourishes Liver Qi and supports the 'Hun,' or the ethereal soul. In Chinese medicine, the Liver is said to house the Hun, which is our connection to our vision, our dreams, and our ability to plan and execute our lives. This point is a direct gateway to this deepest part of our being.
Think of Hunmen as a point that helps you to connect to your purpose and your passion. It's invaluable for addressing issues like a lack of vision, a feeling of being 'stuck,' or a sense of anger and frustration. By nourishing the Liver and supporting the Hun, it helps to restore a sense of drive and a clear path forward.
By supporting the Hun's vision and drive, BL-47 helps to restore a sense of purpose and direction in our lives. It's a point that reminds us that our true power comes from a harmonious relationship between our inner vision and our outer actions.
