BL-28 - Bladder Shu
膀胱俞 - Pāng guāng shū
Point Region: Lower back
BL-28 Pangguangshu, the Back-Shu point of the Bladder, is a master point for clearing dampness and heat from the body's lower regions. The Bladder is a vital organ that, in Chinese medicine, is responsible for storing and excreting urine, as well as influencing the body's fluid balance. This point helps to regulate urination and clear toxins from the system.
Think of Pangguangshu as a point of detoxification and release. It's a go-to point for a wide range of urinary issues, including frequent urination, incontinence, and painful urination. It also helps to clear feelings of heat and dampness in the lower body, which can manifest as genital infections, back pain, and a heavy feeling in the limbs.
By supporting the Bladder's function, BL-28 promotes a sense of lightness and clarity, both in the body and mind. It's a point that reminds us of the importance of letting go and clearing what no longer serves us, allowing for a fresh start.
