BL-22 - Triple Burner Shu
三焦俞 - Sān jiāo shū
Point Region: Back
BL-22 Sanjiaoshu, the Back-Shu point of the Triple Burner, is a master regulator of the body's water passages and energy distribution. The Triple Burner, or Sanjiao, is a unique energetic organ in Chinese medicine that manages the three 'burners' or cavities of the torso: the upper (Lungs and Heart), middle (Spleen and Stomach), and lower (Kidneys and Bladder).
Think of Sanjiaoshu as a master irrigation system for the body. It's crucial for clearing blockages and ensuring that fluids and energy flow smoothly from one region to another. This makes it invaluable for conditions like edema, urinary issues, and feelings of fullness or stagnation in any of the three burners.
By harmonizing the Triple Burner, BL-22 helps to restore balance and fluidity throughout the entire body. It's a point that reminds us that all parts of the system are interconnected and must work together for optimal health.
