BL-65 - Restraining Bone
束骨 - Shù gǔ
Point Region: Foot
BL-65 Shugu, or 'Bundle Bone,' is the 'Shu-Stream' and 'Wood' point of the Bladder meridian, a powerful point for clearing heat and releasing the exterior. Its name refers to the bones of the foot, which are 'bundled' together, and in practice, it helps to release the tension that can accumulate in the foot and leg. This point is a master at addressing a wide range of issues that are caused by 'heat' or external pathogens.
Think of Shugu as a point that helps to clear the 'heat' from your body. It's especially useful for addressing issues like headaches, fever, and a sore throat. By clearing heat and releasing the exterior, it helps to restore a sense of ease and comfort.
By clearing heat and releasing the exterior, BL-65 helps to fortify our defenses and promote a sense of resilience. It's a point that reminds us of the importance of protecting our bodies from the elements, both physically and emotionally.
