Anatomical Location: On the chest, level with the 1st intercostal space, lateral to the sternum.

How to Locate:

  1. Find the 1st space between ribs (just below your collarbone)
  2. Move about half a finger-width to the side from your breastbone
  3. This is on your upper chest near your collarbone
  4. The point is in this rib space lateral to your breastbone
