BL-24 - Sea of Qi Shu
气海俞 - Qì hǎi shū
Point Region: Back
BL-24 Qihaishu, meaning 'Sea of Qi Shu,' is a vital point for the lower back and the body's foundational energy. Situated in the lumbar region, it corresponds to the 'Sea of Qi' in the abdomen, a central reservoir of our life force. This point helps to invigorate the lumbar area, which is a common site of pain and stagnation.
As a point that connects to our deepest source of energy, Qihaishu is a powerful remedy for chronic lower back pain, a feeling of weakness in the lumbar region, and general fatigue. It helps to bring warmth and movement to an area that often becomes cold and stiff from sitting too long or from aging.
By strengthening the lower back and tapping into the body's deepest energy reserves, BL-24 restores a sense of grounded strength and vitality. It's a point that reminds us that our true power comes from a strong and stable core.
