BL-39 - Outside of the Crook
委阳 - Wěi yáng
Point Region: Knee
BL-39 Weiyang, meaning 'Outside of the Crook,' is the Lower He-Sea point of the San Jiao, or Triple Burner. This point is a master regulator of water metabolism, helping to clear dampness and heat from the lower body. It is a key point for addressing issues with the urinary system and the legs.
Think of Weiyang as a point that helps to drain the swamp, clearing out the excess water and dampness that can accumulate in the lower body. It's especially useful for addressing issues like urinary retention, edema, and a heavy feeling in the legs. By regulating the Triple Burner's function, it helps to restore a sense of balance and clarity.
By regulating water metabolism, BL-39 promotes a sense of lightness and ease in the body. It's a point that reminds us that our ability to move freely is rooted in a well-hydrated and balanced system.
