GV-15 - Gate of Muteness
哑门 - Yǎ mén
Point Region: Head (back)
GV-15, or 'Yamen' (meaning 'Gate of Muteness'), is a local point located on the back of the neck. Its name refers to its ability to address issues related to the voice and speech, such as a loss of voice or difficulty speaking.
As a local point, Yamen is primarily used for issues related to the neck and head, such as a stiff neck, headache, and a sense of 'stuckness' in the throat. It is a go-to point for 'clearing' phlegm and 'regulating' the flow of energy in the throat and voice. By stimulating this point, you can help to restore a sense of balance and harmony to the entire body.
Yamen acts as a vital access point to the core of the body, providing a direct and effective way to address blockages and restore a sense of comfort and vitality to the lower body.
