GB-33 - Knee Yang Gate
膝阳关 - Xī yáng guān
Point Region: Leg
GB-33, or 'Xiyangguan' (meaning 'Knee Yang Gate'), is a local point located on the side of the knee. Its name refers to its position as a 'gate' for 'Yang' energy in the 'knee' or joint.
As a local point, Xiyangguan is primarily used for issues related to the knee and leg, such as a stiff knee, a sore knee, and a sense of 'weakness' in the lower body. It is a go-to point for 'tonifying' the Kidney and 'strengthening' the body as a whole. By stimulating this point, you can help to restore a sense of balance and harmony to the entire body.
Xiyangguan acts as a vital access point to the core of the body, providing a direct and effective way to address blockages and restore a sense of comfort and vitality to the lower body.
