BL-1 - Bright Eyes
睛明 - Jīng míng
Point Region: Head
BL-1 Jingming, meaning 'Bright Eyes,' marks the sacred beginning of the Bladder meridian's epic journey—the longest pathway in the human body. Nestled at the inner corner of the eye like a hidden gem, this point serves as the first lighthouse on a route that will traverse the entire back of the body, from the bright realm of consciousness to the deep waters of elimination and purification.
As the starting gate for the body's most extensive detoxification network, BL-1 connects our clearest perceptions with our deepest cleansing processes. It bridges the gap between what we see and how we process and release what no longer serves us, making it invaluable for both visual clarity and mental purification.
In the delicate architecture of the eye socket, Jingming acts as both protector and illuminator, clearing away the fog that clouds our vision while strengthening our ability to see truth clearly. This point is particularly powerful for those who feel their perception has become dulled by stress, fatigue, or emotional overwhelm.
